LURAH is the result of a dream come true. Born from passion, determination, and hard work, it became the only premium women’s footwear brand specializing exclusively in large sizes, made 100% in Italy.

LURAH was created to empower women with larger feet, offering them shoes that highlight this physical trait as a strength, not a limitation.

LURAH: How It All Started
For many women, wearing beautiful, stylish shoes is a dream. But when your shoe size is 44 (UK:10), that dream quickly turns into frustration. Many women with larger feet struggle to find stylish, feminine shoes.
The market often fails to offer stylish, versatile footwear for women with larger feet, as many designs are not tailored for larger sizes. This means those with longer feet face difficulties in finding shoes that offer both comfort and style.
I, Natascia, the founder of LURAH, lived this experience firsthand. Growing up, I quickly reached 1.82m in height, which was great, except my feet also grew to size 44. Feeling comfortable in shoes designed for my peers, which were always unisex, was not easy. As I got older, the challenges increased. I struggled to find specialized retailers offering large women’s shoes, which were mostly adaptations of smaller sizes, with no consideration for the different needs of those with larger feet. Until recently, the solution simply didn’t exist. The offer was limited to poorly proportioned shoes, lacking both beauty and comfort.

LURAH: from Dream to Reality

My sister Vanessa, as passionate about fashion as I am but without the same foot size problem, encouraged me to create a brand offering ultra-feminine, trendy shoes in large sizes, designed to keep proportions balanced. Our goal was to truly consider the unique needs of women wearing large size shoes, bringing style and femininity to a larger audience.

In 2019, we pitched our project to the “PIN” public notice (Puglia Innovators), a program from the Region of Puglia that supports youth entrepreneurship. After months of waiting, our project was accepted, and in 2020, LURAH was officially born.

Our dream became a reality.

Thanks to the hard work of our team, LURAH has quickly become a recognized premium women’s footwear brand specializing in large women’s sizes 41, 42, 43, 44, 45 (UK: 7/11).

The brand gradually gained recognition first in Italy, then across Europe, where it was appreciated for its feminine design, 100% Made in Italy craftsmanship, and meticulous attention to detail.

Each model is designed to maintain optical balance, ensuring the right proportions for larger shoe sizes,

a key factor that sets LURAH apart from other brands offering the same models in both small and large sizes, with no consideration for the distinct needs of larger sizes.

LURAH collections are continuous and produced in limited quantities: the brand’s philosophy is not to constantly present new models, but to offer carryover styles made with excellence and designed to last.

LURAH is an inclusive project aimed at all women with larger feet, providing a balance between comfort, beauty, and proportions, allowing women to wear elegant, stylish shoes without the fear of being limited by their shoe size.
